With numerous dedicated on-site service teams working in all industry sectors, we will support your teams to reduce downtime and improve reliability. Our specialist trained engineers perform laser alignments and on-site balancing, coupled with diagnostic and preventative engineering using the latest technologies.

Condition monitoring at MKE

Condition Monitoring

Condition Monitoring is the process of measuring a set of specific parameters or characteristics exhibited by an asset in motion, load or power.

The purpose is to detect changes in behaviour which may be the early signs of component or global breakdown.

Spotting these markers as far in advance as possible allows the engineer to intervene to prevent catastrophic failure which will have adverse effects on the repairability of a system, production availability and total cost of ownership.

Wherever practicable it is highly recommended to have a robust feedback structure in place to spot and act upon potential future issues.

How We Can Help

MKE offer a site service where we collect, analyse and report back on your specified plant to allow you to make informed decision on where to allocate your engineering resource.

Thermal imaging at MKE

Thermal Imaging

——————————————————

Thermal Imaging is the process of converting infrared light waves into interpretable images.  The imagery produced depicts the temperature differences across the scene that is viewed by the camera.

The purpose is to determine whether there are unexpectedly varying temperatures across the system that may highlight potential points of failure in a system.

A component that is unexplainably markedly higher in temperature than the surrounding system may be a sign that the item is undergoing failure, incorrectly installed or otherwise structurally unstable.

Vibration monitoring south east

Vibration Monitoring

Principally vibration analysis is the study of the oscillatory motion of a system.  Changes in these oscillations can be caused by a number of reasons including but not limited to imbalances, misalignments, incorrect fitting or bearing defects.

In the majority of cases the earlier these changes are detected the less systemic damage takes place.  Early detection will therefore require less resources to correct the system and ultimately reduce your total cost of ownership (TCO).

MKE employee trained specialists who can interpret the vibrational data and make recommendations on next steps.  Please contact our team to book your visit.

Alignment shaft system

Alignment

——————————————————

When installing a shaft system, it is critical to ensure correct alignment.  If there is any misalignment in an assembly it can dramatically reduce the performance and lifespan.

MKE Engineering group provides an onsite laser alignment service that can vastly improve the efficiency of your asset.
